Kombo’s previous release on Shanachie, This is The Good One, scored 2 top 5 singles on contemporary jazz radio. The group has recently performed the new songs in a live taping for SiriusXM’s Watercolors station to rave reviews, and contemporary jazz radio is eagerly awaiting this new release.
Ron Pedley and Jon Pendel are true mainstays of the smooth/contemporary jazz world. Having honed their skills early on with such superstars as Al Jarreau, Aretha Frankin, and Stevie Wonder, they went on to form the pioneering, hit making contemporary jazz group Uncle Festive. And today Ron and John are featured on recordings and performances of Keiko Matsui, Dave Koz and many others!
