Mem Shannon

In recent years, New Orleans-based guitarist, songwriter and singer Mem Shannon's wholly original musical voice has reached far beyond his devoted fanbase in the Crescent City. Shannon's earned glowing praise from The New York Times, Billboard, USA Today, National Public Radio, CBS Sunday Morning and Musician, and played a truckload of acclaimed gigs, including The Muddy Waters Tribute at Kennedy Center (where he shared the stage with Gregg Allman, Buddy Guy, John Hiatt and other legends), The Kansas City Jazz and Blues Festival, Austin's SXSW, New York's Bottom Line, Hong Kong's Great Eagle, and, of course, The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
