Benita Washington is one of the finest contemporary gospel
singers to emerge in recent years, bursting onto the scene as the FIRST
winner of the Gospel Dream Talent Search television show on Black
Entertainment Television.
As a background vocalist for CeCe Winans, Anointed and Juanita Bynum,
she broke through as a featured artist on a national Cece Winans tour.
She was also nominated for the Soul Train Lady Of Soul award in the
Best Gospel Album category.
The Word Remains is
produced by Daniel Weatherspoon (Donald Lawrence, Karen Clark-Sheard,
Carl Thomas) and Virgil Straford. It is an impressive mix of
contemporary gospel styles ranging from soulful to jazz, from heartfelt
